The uncharacteristically gorgeous weather quickly changed to typical rainy, cold Scottish weather. Although I did not pack well and have been consistently cold and wet, I must admit that the majestic Edinburgh and Stirling castles looked ideal with thick fog and storm clouds rolling in around them.

The dreary weather also makes dark pubs with fireplaces that much cozier. Enjoying a cup of tea or glass of wine every afternoon is a wonderful ritual I'm quickly getting used to.
