After a long day spent on trains and in cars, Isabel and I arrived in paradise. I'm hoping the journey set the tone for our week - open spaces with warm pink light, calm marshes, a full glowing moon. If I have learned anything in my life, it is to cherish these times above all else.

Coming to our beach house for Thanksgiving has quickly become my favorite family tradition. I plan on cooking every chance I get, taking long walks on the beach (it's been weirdly beautiful weather here, too), snuggling with my family, and staring into the sunset for long periods of time.

I'm taking the rest of the week off to truly be in beach mode (see the two-week mark). I hope everyone has the loveliest Thanksgiving. It is, quite possibly, the best holiday. xo
