I was infatuated with Bordeaux the minute I stepped off the train. Something about the cool air and dramatic clouds, the energy, the gorgeous architecture, the bikes filling the streets and people filling the cafes -- it just felt right.
Morning coffee in the rain, afternoon naps, quiet-time in cathedrals, three course meals, hilarious language barriers (i.e. accidentally offending waiters with our French), and drinking the best wine I've ever had quickly became routine.
I decided after day one that Bordeaux and I were in love.
