One of the wonderful things about hosting an out-of-towner is that you discover things about your home you may not have otherwise. I've wanted to see the Angel Oak for the longest time, but never got around to it.
Madi recently went to the Franklin Street Festival and fell in love with one of the artists' angel oak photos, without knowing where the photos were taken. She said something to her mom about wanting to take similar to-die-for photos during her upcoming trip to Charleston and he said "Well that's where this is!" So naturally it was one of the first things Madi had to see.
It is absolutely, mind-blowingly unreal. Natural beauty at its best.
