This weekend was full of fun-having and not so full of picture-taking. Sometimes I just need to put the camera down and be in the moment.
Friday night (after Fuel's guava mojtos and black bean soup) I saw Anthony Bourdain speak. Besides his rant on vegetarians that drove me insane, I loved him. His jokes about Sandra Lee were spot-on and he had nothing but respect for the lovely miss Ina.* He really does have the best job in the world (traveling everywhere and eating everything).
Saturday and Sunday were the essence of relaxation. I cleaned, cooked, browsed shops on King Street, drank soy chais, went on long walks with Laura, and enjoyed the perfect weather (short sleeves!).
Not pictured: red wine and roquefort in a window seat at Bin 152, hearing some amazing local musicians (Joel Hamilton, Cary Ann Hearst, Michael Trent), snickerdoodle frozen yogurt, and a trip to the Early Bird at 2 a.m. for grilled banana bread.
*Side note: Last night I had a dream that I was hanging out with Ina, watching her film an episode of Barefoot Contessa. Foresight?
